...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH

Synopsis: Conditions will remain relatively calm under high pressure through this morning. A thermal trough will develop by this afternoon, producing gusty north winds and steep to very steep seas, especially south of Cape Blanco, by tonight. Lighter winds should return by late this weekend, but a longer period swell will also build on Sunday. Another round of gusty north winds and steep seas is possible by Monday when the thermal trough redevelops.

SW wind 5 to 10 kt...veering to NW late afternoon. Wind waves 2 ft or less. W swell 3 to 5 ft at 12 seconds. Swell and W 3 ft in the afternoon. Chance of showers through the day. Patchy fog in the morning.
Tonight
N wind 10 to 15 kt...veering to NE after midnight. Wind waves 2 ft or less...becoming 3 ft after midnight. W swell 5 ft at 12 seconds...building to 7 ft at 14 seconds after midnight.
Friday
NE wind 10 to 15 kt...backing to N late in the afternoon. Cape arago southward, NE wind 15 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 to 4 ft. W swell 7 ft at 13 seconds. Less than 2 ft.
Friday Night
NE wind 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 to 4 ft. Swell W 6 ft.
Saturday
NE wind 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 ft. Swell W 4 to 5 ft.
Saturday Night
