The season is gearing up towards an early start

Apr 1, 2015

2015 has been off to a good start. January and February saw multiple great sessions at Cape Sebastian. The Gorge has also seen a good run of west winds already. Water temps at the coast are the warmest they've been in years with temps averaging mid 50s, while the Gorge is in the upper 40s which is normal for the season,

It's time to dust off your gear, check your harness lines, extensions, booms and downhaul lines. This season is about to heart up!

The outlook for 2015 is looking good, we have had many warm days already thanks to a high ridge parked above the West Coast Actually, the season is so warm already that Cherry trees have blossomed almost a month in advance. Now, that's early.

Looks like we'll be getting a drier and warmer spring and summer than normal.. it promises to be interesting.

Here's a post from the California Weather Blog talks about the high pressure ridge that has parked itself on the Pacific Northwest.
