...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

Synopsis: The thermal trough will slide inland, allowing southerly winds and fog to surge up the coast through tonight. The south winds should reach Cape Blanco by Saturday afternoon, then spread north to Florence by Saturday evening. Until then, residual steep seas will continue to produce small craft advisory conditions for almost all areas, with very steep and hazardous seas expected south of Cape Blanco through this evening. Relatively calm conditions are forecast for early next week, then the thermal trough is expected to return by midweek.

Tonight
N wind 15 to 25 kt...easing to 10 to 20 kt after midnight. Wind waves 6 to 8 ft. W swell 2 ft at 8 seconds... Shifting to the SW at 17 seconds.
Saturday
N wind 10 to 15 kt. Cape arago southward, N wind 5 to 15 kt...backing to SW 5 kt late in the afternoon. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Swell NW 4 to 6 ft at 7 seconds. Patchy fog in the afternoon.
Saturday Night
W wind 5 to 10 kt...backing to S in the late evening and overnight. Wind waves 2 ft or less... Becoming 3 ft after midnight. Swell NW 4 ft at 7 seconds. Patchy fog in the evening, then areas of fog after midnight. Areas of drizzle after midnight.
Sunday
S wind 5 to 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Swell NW 3 to 4 ft. Areas of drizzle in the morning. Areas of fog in the morning, then patchy fog in the afternoon.
Sunday Night
SW wind 5 to 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Mixed swell NW 3 ft and SW 1 to 2 ft. Patchy fog through the night. Patchy drizzle after midnight.
Monday
SW wind 5 to 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Mixed swell NW 3 to 4 ft and SW 2 ft. Patchy fog in the morning. Patchy drizzle in the morning.
Monday Night
SW wind 10 kt...veering to N after midnight. Wind waves 2 ft or less. NW swell 3 ft.
Tuesday
N wind 10 to 15 kt...rising to 15 to 20 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less...becoming 4 to 5 ft. Swell NW 4 ft and SW 2 ft... Becoming SW 2 ft and S 1 ft.
Wednesday
N wind 15 to 20 kt. Wind waves 4 to 5 ft... Building to 5 to 6 ft. W swell 2 to 3 ft.
